Though the Peloton Bike gives you the option to plug in a pair of wired earphones to the tablet, it’s not a wise thing to do. The bouncing cord may distract you during your workout routines, or in the worst case, tangle in the handle. Hence, investing in a quality pair of wireless Bluetooth earphones is one of the ideal solutions. These days, most of the wireless earphones are sweatproof, thus allaying the fear of sweat damage. And the fit is pretty commendable. Here are some good options if you are on a lookout for good quality wireless Bluetooth earphones to pair with your Peloton Bike.

1. Apple AirPods Pro

Apple AirPods Pro

With active noise cancellation, the Apple AirPods Pro is one of the best bets for the Peloton Bike. The ANC kicks in when you plug them into your ears, and it’s regarded as one of the best in the market. In short, you can ride peacefully without distractions. The new generation Apple earphones also pack silicone ear tips which makes them super comfortable to wear during workout routine or a zoom meeting. Those eartips provide decent grip so that the ear pieces don’t fall out. Pairing the AirPods Pro to the Peloton Bike is easy. You simply need to press the pairing button on the case. As per the folks at TomsGuide, the ANC on the AirPods Pro blocked out squeaky pedal sounds and grunts when they tried it on quite a few 30-minute spin classes on the Peloton bike. Aside from that, the sound quality of the AirPods Pro is exceptional. The sound signature is balanced and crisp. This is further coupled with a well-rounded bass, and the bass propels to workout more. The best thing about AirPods Pro is that they are resistant to sweat and water. All you need to do is wipe them with a lint-free cloth after your workout and they will be back to their clean self. Again, the good grip of silicon tips means that they won’t slide out of your ears, howsoever sweaty you (or they) are. The Apple AirPods 2 also pair seamlessly with the Peloton Bike with no known issues of lag or sync. However, they are not sweatproof or waterproof. Check out Apple AirPods 2

2. Powerbeats Pro

Powerbeats Pro

If you are a bit unsure of the golf-tee design of the Apple AirPods Pro, you should check out the Powerbeats Pro (see Creative Outlier Air vs Powerbeats Pro). These sports earphones pack a unique design where the upper part stylishly curves around the back of the ear. Besides providing a trendy look, the hooks ensure that they stay put to your ear even during intensive workouts. And well, the silicone ear tips do their bit in sealing the ambient noise. Mind you, they do not have the same level of noise cancellation as their Apple counterpart above, but they do their part in keeping distracting noises at bay. The Powerbeats Pro pairs greatly with the Peloton Bike, and as per a few users, they can seamlessly switch between their iPhone and the bike. The sync is near-perfect, and there is no lag between the audio of the display and the earphones. Best of all, the buds carry all the controls. When it comes to the sound output, the Powerbeats Pro produces a dynamic sound signature coupled with impactful bass, typical of most sports earphones. The emphasis on the sound oomphs up your workouts. For a truly wireless earphone, battery life is impressive. On a single charge, they provide up to 9 hours of listening time, and with the charging case providing an additional 24 hours of battery life. Do note that the Powerbeats Pro doesn’t support wireless charging.

3. Jaybird Vista

Jaybird RUN

Another pair of great earphones for running and indoor exercise is Jaybird Vista. They are light on the ear and are super grippy at the same time. These earphones bundle tiny fins at the top to help anchor the buds to the ear. These are rated IPX7, meaning they are safe from water and sweat. So yeah, you can sweat it all out on your Peloton without worrying about sweat damage When it comes to battery life, the Vista churns out around 6 hours of battery life, with the case yielding an additional 10 hours. In short, you get a cumulative battery life of 16 hours. The Jaybird Vista delivers a balanced sound output and is accompanied by a powerful bass depth. The noise isolation is on par with most earphones, and even they do not have any noise-cancellation tech. That makes it best for using them during indoor exercise routines. The Jaybird Vista pairs with the Peloton Bike without any issues and the long battery life means that it can go on for multiple sessions before needing a recharge. When it comes to the controls, the Vista sports flat-paneled physical buttons. They are easier to handle. However, they tend to jam into the ear canal when pressed, at times.

4. Samsung Galaxy Buds and Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus

Samsung Galaxy Buds

If you already have a Samsung phone like the Galaxy Note 10 or the Galaxy S20, you can’t go wrong with the Samsung Galaxy Buds. These are in-ear canal buds and seal the ear canal completely, thus letting you have proper noise isolation. It’s the noise isolation that I particularly liked about these wireless earphones. The fit is great and stays put during light to medium workouts. Pairing the Galaxy Buds to the Peloton is no rocket science. You simply need to open the Bluetooth settings on the tablet and then open the case to repair. The Galaxy Buds sports touch controls on the buds, which makes it easier to skip tracks or summon the voice assistant outside the Peloton environment. Plus, they can be customized using the Wearable app. When it comes to sound quality, it is balanced. The bass is on the lower side. Do note that the Galaxy Buds are not waterproof or sweatproof. However, I found them to be pretty resilient as I wore them to the gym (before the pandemic began) for around 4-5 months. Interestingly, the folks at CNET exposed the Galaxy Buds to a sweat challenge, and well, the buds lived to tell the tale. But should you buy them, make sure to wipe off the sweat before and after every time you use them. You can also check out the newer Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus. With around 11 hours of playback, they have a significantly better battery life compared to the predecessor, which gives about 6 hours. The case provides an additional seven hours. 5. Urbanears Hellas On-Ear Active

Urbanears Hellas On-Ear Active

If wireless earbuds do not cut it for you, you can try out over-the-ear headphones like the Urbanears Hellas On-Ear active headphones. These pair seamlessly with the Peloton Bike and what makes the deal sweeter is the absence of lags or any syncing issues. Compared to the counterparts above, the Hellas On-Ear Active is affordable and is priced less than $100. And well, when it comes to the design, it can be safely said that they pack a unique design. There is a good amount of padding under the band and on the ears, which makes them comfortable to wear. Since these are sports earphones, the headband and the earpads are washable. At the same time, they are comfortable to wear even for a long duration and stay over your ears during workouts and spin classes. At 14 hours, battery life is quite decent. However, you do not get the luxury of putting them in a charging case to charge. Apart from that, the sound quality is fairly balanced for the asking price. Furthermore, the earpads muffle the ambient noise, meaning you can carry on your live Peloton classes without any distraction. And yeah, the Hellas On-Ear Active sports touch controls.

6. Plantronics BackBeat Fit 500

Plantronics BackBeat Fit 500

Another pair of inexpensive headphones that you can give a shot is the Plantronics BackBeat 500 Fit. They are comfortable to wear, but they are sweat-resistant, making them perfect for intensive workouts. And the lightweight design is the cherry on top. Compared to the products above, the BackBeat Fit 500 is pretty inexpensive. They cost less than $100. Despite that, they produce pretty great sound, with the bass being slightly on the heavier side. On the bright side, you will have no issues in keeping up with the beats of the background music of your Peloton Bike. The Bluetooth connection is pretty solid, and so is the battery life. The BackBeat 500 Fit will see you through 18 hours of playback on a single charge. Impressive, I must say. And if you would want to go the wired way, you can use the 3.5mm cable that comes with the box. However, these headphones do not have USB-C charging. Plus, the foam-padded starts feeling a little tight if worn for a long duration.

Spinning to the Beat

Apart from the above, there are a couple of other options like the Jabra Active 75T wireless earphones. These boast of excellent audio quality and battery life. However, some Peloton owners have had issues in pairing them to their bike. The same is the issue with Bose SoundSport Free, another pair of wireless Bluetooth earphones designed to be used while working out.
